Our client provides strategic insight to investors, corporations, governments and non-profit organisations at the intersection of geopolitics and policy.

The Associate role:

The Associate role will be based in London and will work closely with more senior members of the MAP team to deliver key macroeconomic and geopolitical insights to a range of global clients and contribute to a variety of tasks across corporate strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

Undertake analysis on a wide range of opensource market and political information sources, lending deep understanding of global affairs and markets.
Identifying, monitoring and reporting upon sources of risk and opportunity in the global geopolitical and macroeconomic environment.
Working alongside Senior Associates, Directors and Managing Directors on various client engagement initiatives and objectives.
Ability to produce concise, informative reports for distribution internally to MAP analyst team, as well externally to a wide range of MAP's clients.
Handson involvement in the preparation of client strategy/briefing notes, as well as presentation materials alongside more senior members of the analyst team.
Creation of charts and visual aids in support of MAP analyst team.
Attend and take comprehensive notes during policy discussions with the firm's network of experts and advisors.

Essential Skills:

Demonstrated understanding of fundamental macroeconomic and political frameworks/concepts, either within a particular region or more broadly.
Proven interest in foreign affairs and geopolitics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Capable of producing highquality work in a highpressure environment.
Organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise and manage work on multiple projects to tight deadlines;

Experience and Qualifications:

MA/MSc or BA degree in International Relations/International Affairs/Economics
Two years' professional experience in a relevant field. Additional relevant internships a plus.
