    Our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and commercial healthcare company.

    They have grown strongly through acquisition and operate internationally.

    We are looking for a Legal Counsel to further enhance the current established team due to the further growth of the organisation.

    Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this is a critical supervised role in the Legal team responsible for overseeing legal advice and support the UK and global operations.

    Working closely with the Head of Legal to build strong relationships with commercial stakeholders across the business.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • The drafting, review and negotiation of legal documents and commercial contracts (e.g. distribution agreements; contract manufacturing agreements; e-commerce agreements; IT/software agreements; marketing agreements).
    • Providing clarification and interpretation to the Group on legal language or contractual/regulatory/statutory requirements.
    • Maintenance of the contracts management database to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
    • Providing advice on compliance and regulatory matters.
    • The management of contractual disputes.
    • Assisting with acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence, disclosure and the drafting and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements.
    • Working on the provision of legal compliance training for the wider business on topics such as bribery and corruption and competition law.
    • Providing relevant support to ensure the Group's data is protected.
    • Assisting with the management of the trademark and patent portfolio (including IP agents to protect the Group's international trademark and patent portfolio).
    • Communicating and negotiating with external parties (external counsel, public authority, business to business), creating an environment of trust and integrity
    • Monitoring controls ensuring the company is compliant with sanctions and export regimes in countries where the Group operates.
    • Supporting with general legal queries.

    The Person

    Qualified practicing Barrister or Solicitor in England and Wales 0-4pqe (flex)

    Fantastic team player.

    Commercial Contracts experience

    Sound commercial judgement with excellent business partnering capabilities.

    Engaging communication skills with the ability to present complex legal information to legal and non-legal senior stakeholders.
