    Ensuring success by providing legal advice
    Conferma is a successful fintech business looking to hire a high-calibre lawyer to join their growing legal function.

    Providing commercial legal and data protection advice to the business operations, across all functions, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts, you will be a valued partner, supporting the ongoing commercial success of the organisation.

    Requirements

    A Legal Counsel at Conferma is responsible for:

    In close collaboration with the business, structure, draft, and negotiate contracts that govern the framework of Confermas payments businesses relationships (including, banking, card scheme, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), supply chain contracts, and agency agreements), in addition to supporting the Commercial team in its efforts to onboard new customers/address existing customer relationships.

    Draft and negotiate other complex commercial agreements with global accounts, distributors, partners, travel agencies, and suppliers.
    Support the business units product development team with product agreements and addendums for new product solutions.

    Support and advise on a wide range of legal areas including antitrust, regulatory, intellectual property, litigation, data privacy, and corporate governance.

    Must be able to organize and manage outside counsel spend effectively.

    You have:
    Qualified solicitor (at least 3 years PQE) with commercial legal, contract drafting/negotiation and data protection/privacy experience.
    Experience with SaaS agreements and corporate governance matters is highly valued.
    Unquestioned integrity and excellent judgment. Ability to make difficult decisions based on company-wide goals and strategies.

    Exceptional relationship building skills and strong negotiation skills- ability to work effectively and have meaningful impact working at all levels, as well as across multiple functions around the world.

    Ability to inspire confidence and gain and hold the trust of the management team is essential.
