Ward Clerk (Maternity Outpatients)
Location - The Portland Hospital, Great Portland Street, London
Permanent, Full time, 37.5 per week (Monday - Friday,
Salary - £25,200 - £26,600+ Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join The Portland Hospital.
You will provide a reception/administrative service to support the Midwifery Outpatients Department to deliver a high quality service to clients.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Meet and greet patients, visitors, consultants and staff and deal with their enquiries in accordance with world class standards
- Answer telephone enquiries, referring where appropriate
- To make bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations
- To register patients and enter charges on to computer system
- Support and on some occasions work on other units as indicated in the absence of ward clerks
- Administrative support to Unit Manager and Sisters
- Take minutes, prepare minutes and agenda for Meetings
- Previous admin experience within a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
