We are seeking to hire a Positive Behaviour Specialist. The community-based speech-language therapist will assist people with neurological illnesses, learning impairments, mental health issues, and neurodevelopmental conditions.


You will conduct thorough evaluations of patients with learning impairments and mental health needs' cognitive, communicative, and verbal capabilities in a supported or domiciliary setting.


Qualifications:


  • A certificate or degree in speech and language therapy from a accredited institution.
  • HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
- registered

  • Working with people who have mental health problems and learning difficulties.
  • Knowledge of performing thorough evaluations and creating individualised treatment plans.
  • Dysphagia competencies completed.
  • The use of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) tools and approaches, Talking mats, a Makaton model, and a means, reasons, and opportunities model.
