    Description

    The R&D Engineer Mechanical Design (MD) is member of an international R&D development team located in Cambridge, UK and Schliengen, Germany.

    The R&D team is developing highly sophisticated sensing devices to optimize production processes and for environmental emission monitoring to meet legal requirements.

    The R&D Engineer MD acts in a team of scientists and engineers dedicated to mechanical design as well as electronics and software development of our sensing devices from draft to prototyping, testing, certification, and handover to production.


    The R&D Engineer MD independently carries out mechanical design developments according to physical and certification requirements.

    As part of a team, they will ideate, implement, calculate and describe mechanical concepts for approval-relevant requirements on metrological instruments, taking physical, chemical, mechanical and functional safety (SIL) and explosion protection requirements into account.

    The R&D Engineer MD maintains existing products throughout their life cycle, revises mechanical drawings, maintains parts lists and production documents and, if necessary, assists with re-approval.

    They document their work in the form of design documentation, test documentation and functional documentation, which can be used as a basis for the creation of manuals and the approval of the devices.
