    As a buyer, you will be required to support the continuing upward trend of orders and growth within SEA, whilst focusing on supplier relationship management within the Supply Chain function.

    What you'll be doing

    Ensuring that best value procurement is undertaken and that materials, products or services are fit for purpose and available within the timescales required complying with overall SEA governance. Sourcing products or services, in line with production demand raised from ERP system or purchase requests raised from other business areas
    • Obtain competitive quotations through requests or tenders
    • Negotiate and agree individual orders or contracts e.g. Price, Quantity, Services, Delivery, Quality, Time Scales etc
    • Develop strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure that our business goals are achieved
    • Carry out any other tasks as required by the Supply Chain Manager appropriate to the job function
    The skills you need
    • Previous relatable experience within a manufacturing or engineering business
    • Have good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with key stakeholders across the organisation
    • Good working knowledge of procurement practices, contract structure, terms and conditions, sub-contract considerations, funding and payment plans
    • Have good negotiation skills and experience of managing suppliers
    • An astute analytical ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities, and an ability to devise a flexible range of mitigations
    • Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines
