    The opportunity

    The Centralised Delivery Centre (CDC) based in Newcastle upon Tyne has been created due to the growing need for key Audit administration activities to be centralised to help improve the quality, timeliness, and consistency of completion.

    You will be joining this relatively new team at an exciting time and will have the opportunity to help the team and its offerings develop from the beginning and will assist in the provision of an on-shore Audit Support services delivery hub providing administrative services to assurance personnel across all UK offices.

    Your key responsibilities

    You will spend most of your time dedicated to engagement administration and non-technical project work. You will provide day to day administrative support to audit teams in the completion of their Risk assessment forms which are fundamental to their activities and service delivery of audit engagements.

  • Build and demonstrate solid working knowledge of CDC team delivery processes for Client & Engagement Continuance & Acceptance.
  • Consistently deliver work to high quality standards & in line with EY risk management policies & procedures through standard administrative checks on clients.
  • Update fields within PACE in a timely manner to avoid Quality issues.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality by consistently adhering to PACE Operational Excellence policies.
  • Become competent in PACE preparation.
  • Develop an understanding of the different PACE services.
  • Have awareness of opportunities for the future of PACE.
  • Be conscious of deadlines & take responsibility to deliver on time.
  • Start to develop an understanding of how CDC PACE supports client facing PACE completion.
  • Liaising with client facing teams to resolve basic PACE queries.
  • Deliver centralised PACE processes on time & within budget. Provide timely & detailed communications for issues incurred.
  • Charge time accurately & inform seniors of budget deviations in a timely manner.
  • Meet individual chargeable hours targets.
  • Help in other tasks set out by the department leads.
  • Develop a network through mutual sharing of ideas, knowledge & resources including CDC PACE team members.
  • Take responsibility to manage own work schedule & other KPI's set out by the department.
  • Take ownership of developing & delivering self-development plan with specific focus on broadening skills & knowledge.

  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A keen desire to learn, preferably with experience in an operational services environment
  • Ability to manage workloads during key busy periods to tight deadlines
  • Be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills interacting with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Good experience in Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience of working in small and large teams within a diverse environment
  • Experience of reporting directly to senior stakeholders on a project
