Project Officer - Knowsley - £43,240 to £54,859 + Company Car

As a Project Officer for National Gas Transmission, you'll plan, oversee, coordinate and document all aspects of a specific projects, helping define scope and direction to keep the projects on schedule.

You'll manage all planned work using allocated resources to produce a cost-effective, customer-focused and efficient service within budget.

You'll supervise operational activities on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that business objectives and efficient work practices are met.

You'll know the difference between SCO 1,2, 91 and 94 and the operation and maintenance of high and low pressure gas networks will be second nature to you.


Other responsibilities will include keeping contractors updated on new techniques and codes of practice, managing and supervising multi-disciplined teams and undertaking competency reviews, STC's, site audits and driving value through staff engagement.


You must hold a valid UK car driving licence and be happy with frequent visits (3/4 days a week) to other sites across the UK so expect some travel and overnight stays.

This role will also require an aspect of depot management.

Because this role works so closely with the UK Critical National Infrastructure it does requires National Security Vetting and for us in particular that means you cannot have a criminal record and in the last 5 years you cannot have been out of the UK for cumulatively 6 months or greater than.
