- Set up and maintain activity areas to ensure they are child-friendly
- Implement policies for a fun and secure environment
- Conduct engaging taster sessions following Barracudas Fencing training
- Deliver age-appropriate and exciting sessions using the Teambuilding manual
- Provide safety instructions, supervise actively, and ensure equipment adherence
- Ensure children's needs are met with continuous attention and supervision
- Encourage maximum participation and teamwork
- Collaborate with other staff members for session assistance
- Maintain accurate fencing session documentation
- Regularly check fencing equipment for safety
- Ensure general welfare and safeguarding
- Keep the site tidy and pack away equipment
- Promote safe equipment usage
- Complete the FREE 1-day Fencing+ course affiliated with British Fencing before starting employment
- Minimum age of 18 at the contract start date
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Positive, organized, and communicative with initiative
- Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing one on the Update Service
- Participate in a Virtual Assessment Event if new to Barracudas
- Complete annual online training
- Attend an Induction Training Day before the first working season
- Assist with end-of-camp pack up
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance
- Organize suitable activities within your qualifications
- Encourage participation in new activities as per the timetable
- Oversee children's behavior and well-being
- Follow camp procedures diligently
- Be a positive influence on the children regarding health and welfare
- Report any Child Protection concerns to the designated personnel
- Accommodate children with additional needs or medical conditions
- May need to conduct Skills Builder sessions based on staff availability
- Support swimming sessions if required
- Be flexible with duties as per organizational objectives

Work Schedule: 08:30 – 17:00
Compensation: £405.69 – £530.76 per week depending on age, experience, and qualifications (2023 wage level for February Half Term Contracts; 2024 wage level effective from April 1st)
Reporting to: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office. Barracudas prioritizes the safety and well-being of children and young people with a shared commitment from all staff.
