    Description

    Planning Analytics Analyst

    The Role

    Assist the Finance Planning Analytics Accountant in day-to-day operations of existing Planning Analytics (PA) instances. Help with identifying & implementing process improvements across the existing PA models in line with business strategy, while ensuring compliance with controls and documentation of processes. Encourage users to explore new opportunities to adopt PA leading to continuous improvements throughout Finance.

    Responsibilities will include:

  • Support PA BAU operations
  • Implement PA solutions in alignment with industry best practices
  • Document & build requested reports using Perspective/PAX /PAW
  • Provide user support & liaise with the IT department to resolve issues
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and liaise with the users gathering requirements for future reporting
  • Coordinate PA version upgrade, patching, and compliance
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers during project work
  • Ensure changes are tested and promoted in a controlled manner
  • Performance tuning of PA models
  • Conduct user training
  • Author and coordinate technical documentation
  • Support some other non-PA Finance Systems e.g. bank & treasury portals
  • Skills and experience:

    Required:

  • Solid understanding of PA model design best practice.
  • Experience in Turbo Integrator (TI) process and Cube Rules
  • Build workflows in Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise with Excel, SQL, OLAP, and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience in consulting within finance planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Preferable:

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Experienced with: Financial consolidation process or Cognos Controller Upgrade of PA, PAW and/or Controller
  • Knowledge in TM1py/REST API
  • Personal Qualities:

  • Good communication skills with both technical & non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Approach work in a methodical manner
