Role Description and job function:


As a production Scheduler, you will take ownership and accountability for building and maintaining a master production schedule covering daily, weekly and longer term forecasts.

The prime objective of the master schedule will be to:


  • Meet and exceed our customers' needs.
  • Achieve Performance against the agreed on time in full service level.
  • Support all other business KPI metrics on cost, waste, material efficiencies, Overall Equipment Effectiveness and labor utilization with sensible scheduling.
  • Maintain full alignment and communication from point of sale to dispatch of Finished Good's

A key framework for delivering this success will be made possible by:

  • Demonstrating productive and purposeful engagement with all the supply chain stake holders, production teams and logistics.
  • Implementing a production plan that maximizes the processes capabilities based on available time and current run rates.
  • Continuously reviewing demonstrated production performance and realigning the master production schedule accordingly. This is key to maintaining safe stock levels of all Raw Materials' and minimising schedule changes and the associated impacts on production efficiencies.
  • Working closely with the Production manager to ensure the costed level of labour is allocated to each production run.
  • Continuously risk assessing Raw Material lead times with purchasing and evaluating any impact on the production schedule.
  • Having a "Plan B" in the event of unanticipated shortages in Raw Materials to maintain production flow, mitigate any impact to the customer, and achieving labour recovery requirements.
  • Working closely with warehouse and inhouse transport to ensure all Raw Materials' are available and transferred to each site each site with precise accuracy and timing.
  • Working closely with commercial, New Product Development, sales and Tech to communicate available windows of opportunity for trials, launches, promotions and essential maintenance/upgrades.

Production Planner Requirements:


  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working as a production Scheduler in a similar role and multisite.
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Package:

- £30,000 to £40,000

  • 28 days Paid leave per annum increasing based on length of service
  • Full Comp Health & Dental Cover (after successful completion of the probation period)
  • 5% salary company pen
