Are you an experienced Administrator with a background in the NHS? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team in Central London for a 3-month assignment.

As an integral part of our Financial Administration Services team for International & Private Patients, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient provision of services and adherence to process guidelines.


Scope of the Role:

As the Administrator, you will be responsible for routine financial administration services, with a focus on International & Private Patients.


Your main tasks will include:

Financial Accuracy:


  • Record financial information accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a recognized financial service is consistently provided.
  • Help the team to chase debt backlog

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Be the initial point of contact for all preauthorization requests.
  • Request and accurately record all authorizations for treatment.
  • Coordinate the authorization service with managerial support.
  • Manage current and historic authorization requests, understanding their impact on Trust debt levels.
  • Ensure consultants and secretaries are aware of their responsibilities regarding preauthorization.
  • Liaise with International Credit Controllers to resolve queries related to missing letters of authorization.
  • Investigate and resolve financial queries related to authorizations, escalating when necessary.
  • Undertake calculations/estimations for required deposits for testing and pursue payments.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Previous NHS experience is essential.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and handle complex financial queries.
  • Proficient in relevant software and systems (e.g., Compucare notepad).
