Become a Material Handler today


This role is built up of multiple site-specific activities and job functions that will need to be completed day to day.

This would be split into Shipping Activities, Warehouse Management, Order Management and Chemical Management.

Working Hours:


  • Part Time

Hours -09:00 - 14:00 (20 hours per week)


Pay Rate:
£11.50 per hour

Requirements:


  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment is desired
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Your primary list of duties, being Shipping Activities would include:

  • At point of request, work with supplier or shipping party to define shipping requirements.
  • If necessary, completing hazardous material and import/export documentation in coordination with SME guidance
  • Book shipment(s) with approved courier
  • Inbound
- collect shipment(s) from external receiving area and deliver to customer receiving area

  • Outbound packout shipment(s) with documents for collection
  • Maintain documentation for record keeping.
The following areas are responsibility are secondary to the above key duties.


Warehouse Management:


  • Ensure that Stock is received and putaway correctly. Making sure that stock is rotated and invoiced according to customers' requirements.
  • Scheduled delivery deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Communicate nonmoving stock and any outofstock information to the customer on a regular basis.

Order Management:


  • Perform order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, return goods authorization, processing of backorders (where appropriate).
  • Help resolve a customer's concern or issue with their order.

Chemical Management:


  • Receive, register, and track all chemical containers throughout the facility.
  • Perform routine checks of chemical inventory database.
  • Provide chemical inventory reports upon request.
  • Distribute chemicals with care, throughout facility and upon request.
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to the handling and movement of chemical containers.
