  • Job description
  • We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to manage a team delivering marine monitoring projects throughout England and Wales, the latter supporting our Natural Resources Wales partnership.

You will be responsible for leading a predominantly field based dispersed operational team who deliver a wide variety of marine programmes and projects including work for Defra collaborative partners.

You will plan and monitor team resources to deliver work whilst balancing the team's wellbeing. You will actively lead and support 8 team members.

The role also requires travelling between locations and as a result the post requires a full UK driving license.

The post location is flexible but the area of work for the team is Holyhead to Solway and Berwick to Dover.

The team is based in Bangor, Warrington, Tewkesbury, and Peterborough.

  • The Monitoring Survey
  • Estuarine and Coastal team is responsible for the delivery of the Environment Agency's marine boatbased monitoring programme. This includes water and ecological monitoring undertaken nationally throughout England and for Natural Resources Wales as part of an ongoing partnership. It delivers a vital service that underpins much of our marine statutory responsibilities relating to water quality. We also deliver a wide range of marine monitoring projects for internal and DEFRA customers
