    The role

    Key responsibilities include:

  • The focus for the role will be project-based network engineering activities, design work and BAU operational support,
  • Provide lead SME expertise on strategic initiatives and project work streams.
  • Take full ownership and accountability of all network related project work delivering to strict project time frames.
  • Will also be responsible for ensuring stability, performance and scalability of all network services.
  • Actively supporting incident management teams and taking ownership of network service incidents and issues..
  • Must be able to cover on call and weekend work as and when required.
  • What are we looking for?

    High performing self-motivating individual who's a good communicator, proactive, customer focused, team player with excellent problem-solving skills. You must also have a strong appetite to develop professionally and a willingness to embrace new technology.

    Key skills/ experience required:

  • Cisco educated CCNP or equivalent level.
  • Good working knowledge of essential network technologies including LAN, WAN, firewalls (Fortigate, Cisco Firepower and Forcepoint), routers, load balancers, web proxies (McAfee), virtual networking and monitoring platforms.
  • Exposure to managed WAN technologies (MPLS/VPLS) and good knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols
  • Exposure to cloud networking technologies (Azure, AWS & Aviatrix) and SASE/SD-WAN desirable but not essential.
  • Produce high quality network design documentation
  • Work closely with managed service providers and technology partners delivering long-term strategic goals.
