Summary


The Governors of Our Lady's Catholic College are seeking a very highly motivated and capable individual who is passionate about promoting the life chances of young people.


You will need to be able to:

  • Work towards maintaining the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks
  • Work with pupils and staff to raise aspirations of future careers, through providing accurate and uptodate advice and guidance on careers pathways using career and labour market information
  • Organise a range of careers activities both within and outside the school day
  • Support pupils to access careers and training events and apprenticeships
  • Maintain and develop effective links with external agencies/organisations & employers<
  • Organise work experience/placements for pupils
  • Work with pupils and staff to ensure the coordination of PD provision within school
  • Coordinate PD events from external providers
  • Effectively track and evaluate provision of careers and PD across all year groups
  • Deliver onetoone IAG interviews with students (dependant on qualifications)
Applications are welcome from those with an events management background and / or careers background. L4/6 training in careers can be provided.

The post is permanent, term time only (plus one week)
The hours for the role are 30 hrs over 4 days per week
8:30 am to 4:00 pm (flexible working pattern is negotiable)

Essential Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above (or equivalent)

Desirable Qualifications

A relevant Careers related Level 4 qualification

Evidence of a good level of academic achievement at either school/college or subsequently within the workplace

A relevant Careers related Level 6 qualification

Essential Experience

Success in a role working with young people

Ability to work independently with initiative and accuracy

Desirable Experience

Previous experience of co-ordinating significant numbers of people to deliver events / projects<
