Job Title - Manufacturing Quality Engineer

£ 35,000 -£ 40,000 p.a. + Early finish Friday + Pension + 25 days holiday

Are you a Manufacturing Quality Engineer interested in working on advanced manufacturing projects for some of the most prestigious automotive manufacturers on the planet? We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong manufacturing quality control/ qualityassurance experience.

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer your day to day responsibilities will consist of;

  • Manage all qualityrelated issues with the manufacturing
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Report against agreed quality metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Ensure that all inhouse systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies.
  • Establish and refine quality signoff instructions, standards, and documentation.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with Quality management system / Business Management System
  • Manage the scrap reduction programs in line with the business targets.
  • Undertake internal process and product audits of the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Update quality documentation and communicate any carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns.
  • Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving quality.
  • Produce written reports and presentations.
  • Support the engineering change process ensuring the quality deliverables are met.
  • Responsible for customer PPAP submissions
An exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer with the following;

  • Significant experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Strong demonstratable problemsolving skills (8D, PPS and advanced problem solving).
  • Strong knowledge of the latest Automotive tools and techniques
  • Strong APQP experience
  • Inspection background able to use measurement equipment and understand technical drawings (GD&T).
  • IAFT 16949 auditing experience
