    Job Brief

    To lead the financial reporting processes for Central Finance for dnata Catering UK. Ensure that effective controls are in place to report accurate financial information on a timely basis to support decision making and a 'no surprises' approach.

    Stakeholders

    Internal: Finance, C-Suite, Operations, Functions

    External: Vendors, Suppliers, Customers, PWC, Audit bodies, Regulatory bodies

    Key Responsibilities

    • Reviewing systems performance and identifying system issues
    • Reviewing and maintaining all financial systems policies and procedures
    • Collaborating with IT and financial staff to meet business requirements
    • Troubleshooting and fixing finance-related system issues
    • SAP management and reporting
    • Change management e.g. Power BI dashboards
    • Training and supporting finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
    • Managing system upgrades with the IT department
    • Preparation of presentations for various reporting periods
    • Ensuring focus is placed on balance sheet reconciliations and issues identified and escalated/resolved and generate a monthly report to FC on high-risk areas
    • Ensure journals posted have necessary narrative and backing
    • Key eye for detail and process improvements
    • Support audit and statutory accounts production
    • Maintain an organised documented system for financial reporting files

    What you'll have:

    Essential

    • Degree level qualification
    • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3 years minimum post qualified experience
    • Systems development and finance systems experience
    • Commercial awareness
    • Broad experience and knowledge of accounting systems
    • Experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders
    • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel macros and other accounting packages
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook)o Audit exposure
    • Ability to work under pressure and be organised to meet tight deadlines
    • Process improvements experience

    Desirable

    • SAP/Oracle/WMS experience
    • Experience in a large global organisation
