They are recruiting a Joiner (Multi-Skilled) (1 post) to join our clients Repairs team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business to deliver property maintenance services, undertaking repair activities within customer's homes, voids andfor other clients as required.

They are one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region employing over 900 colleagues.


Their in house contractor and are one of the largest contractors in the area and they aim to deliver a high-quality flexible service to their customers ensuring their homes remain fit for the future.


They operate across the Lancashire region providing all day-to-day repairs and vacant properties repairs, gas servicing and out of hours service to their customers.


What they are looking for:

  • Minimum of L2 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Joinery and relevant experience.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • Sound knowledge of building construction, components, building trades and applicable building regulations.
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed service.
  • Proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service.
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 197
  • Full UK manual driving licence.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property maintenance environment.
  • Experience of delivering services within the social housing sector.
  • Experience of using PDA technology (handheld/mobile working technology).
  • Hold relevant health & safety qualifications which relate to the sector/construction industry in general for example, Asbestos awareness, power tool training, Manual handling training.


The role involves participation in an 'out of hours' standby service on a rota basis as required, which includes evenings and weekend work.

This is in addition to the contractual hours for which you will receive additional pay and compensation, details ofwhich will be discussed at the interview.


Their head office is based in Accrington, but you should be prepared to travel across Lancashire to cover their repair's service.
