We are a developing Benefice, with a diversity of worship, continuing to forge closer links between our parishes and moving forward together . Each Parish within the benefice faces distinct opportunities and particular challenges within the diverse communities we are each called to serve.
Are you excited by:
taking hold of this tangible immediate opportunity to deepen and grow faith within our local communities
opening up God's Word to people, bringing biblical insight that is relevant and inspiring
teaching and showing others "how ", so that they in turn can teach and show others
spending time in prayer, listening to God's Voice (with the evitable challenge of us acting on it)
connecting with all manner of folk across the distinctively differing natures of our four parish communities
developing and supporting mission in each of the four parishes, led by their PCC's and parishioners, to serve and minister to their respective communities
building up our congregations in faith and numbers, increasing our love and understanding of Jesus, through the power of His Holy Spirit, serving others to God's glory
enjoying the respect, responsibility and popular recognition of being "the Rector" – the face of the local church across the benefice, the person who sets the tone.
We are seeking an incumbent who:
will provide valuable leadership by example
enjoys enthusiastic worship (whether traditional or modern) and prayer
has strong previous experience of working alongside PCCs as a consensual leader who encourages local ownership, clear commitments and transparency
enjoys meeting with, working with and encouraging people
provides bible-based teaching to deepen parishioners' faith and understanding of our God
