WHAT TO EXPECT


Jaguar Land Rover is increasing its capability and capacity of its Digital workforce to identify and automate activities across the enterprise to free up colleagues to focus on more interesting and strategic elements of their role.

This exciting role is part of our Intelligent Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) within Digital, which has evolved from our Robotic Process Automation CoE and combines traditional RPA technology with cognitive / Artificial Intelligence capabilities, upskilling our Digital workforce to read, interpret, analyse and support colleagues with enhanced decision-making.


As a Scrum Master, you will be primarily accountable for supporting the Intelligent Automation (IA) Delivery Manager, IA developers and wider IA CoE Team to deliver IA projects.

You will be assigned to several different projects simultaneously within the Portfolio and will lead these using the SCRUM framework.

You will also coach and encourage best practice use of tools (JIRA, MS Project, Microsoft Platform etc.) and agile principles within the wider IA COE to improve internal processes and efficiency.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for facilitating work of an IA Scrum Team (cross-functional self-organizing collaborative team using the Scrum framework to deliver high value outcome addressing complex problems such as technology development) including:

  • Facilitating the Scrum Events (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective)
  • Updating management on progress and highlighting impediments that hinder project progress, raising this to the IA delivery manager.
  • Coaching the team to understand the Scrum framework and practices and the use of JIRA.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of all project delivery key stages, including risks and issues.
  • Support the IA delivery manager in PMO related activities as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience of waterfall and agile governance frameworks
  • Deep understanding of SCRUM methodology
  • Advanced user of JIRA the ability to confidently navigate JIRA
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint skills the ability to craft succinct and effective communication material
  • Ability to strongly facilitate agile ceremonies and meetings, ensuring each team member is heard, and that outcomes are clear.
  • Able to solve problems when they arise, suggesting potential answers to blockers.
  • Experience of working in software or intelligent automation agile development
