    Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be working exclusively with an internationally known Midlands brand on their search for a Management Accountant. The business is growing rapidly so is looking for someone who can work at pace, be intellectually curious and have a growth mindset. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing financial tasks and providing strategic insights to support our business objectives.

    Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Management Accountant who can handle a diverse range of responsibilities - this role is a real all rounder opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and business operations. From budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and analysis, the successful candidate will be proficient in all aspects of management accounting.


    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial targets.
    • Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Conduct cost analysis to support decision-making and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and banking relationships.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
    • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate internal controls and processes, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
    • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to senior management as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
    • Proven experience in management accounting roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
