- Collect, organize, and analyse large data sets from various sources to derive insights that will inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and product development teams to identify areas where data-driven insights can improve their operations.
- Build predictive models that can help identify risk factors and improve underwriting accuracy.
- Develop machine learning algorithms that can be used to detect fraudulent claims.
- Work with the IT team to ensure that data is stored and analysed securely.
- Develop dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact the P&C insurance industry.
- Experience in a data science role for a P&C Insurance company (essential).
- Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with large data sets and advanced data analysis tools (such as SQL, R, Python).
- Exposure to developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
