We currently have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of the Managed Clinical Networks across our region by supporting the Lead to ensurehigh quality delivery of postgraduate and undergraduate clinical education and teaching.


This role gives the successful applicant theopportunityto develop partnership working with a range of groupsacrossthe Tees Valley in order to enhance the MCN's medical education provision.


This role with be responsible for the administrative delivery of clinical education with responsibility for work streams within the Women's Children's and Young People's Managed Clinical Network.


  • To support and assist the Clinical Education Leads, and Managed Clinical Network (MCN) Leads in assuring high quality delivery of postgraduate and undergraduate clinical education and teaching.
  • To be responsible for the administrative delivery of clinical education with responsibility for work streams within the Women's Children's and Young People's Managed Clinical Network.

  • Work with MCN to establish and maintain effective partnership working with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure the enhancement of the MCN's medical education provision.
  • Attend meetings with key stakeholders including Consultant Education Leads, Universities and Health Education England as required to maintain currency of medical education training.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple organisations and coordinate activities.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with users and gain their commitment to undertake the agreed training programme.
  • The postholder will communicate with MCN clinical and managerial leads across Maternity, Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Respiratory, and also including:
  • Clinicians and managers in Tees Valley Foundation Trusts (North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust)
  • Commissioners
  • Education providers
  • Consultant Education Leads
  • Health Education England
  • Trainers and tutors
  • Service users
  • Speakers
  • Administration of the evaluation process for educational delivery ensuring accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders
Training Delivery

To be responsible for the administration and co-ordination of specific medical and interprofessional educational activity, and to undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required, including:

  • Support the clinical leads with the delivery of best quality training courses and support on behalf of the MCN.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with users and gain their commitment to undertake the agreed training programme.
  • Maintain the core training schedule and arrange additional training sessions, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are met.
  • Liaison with Learning and Development support functions to enable them to arrange training rooms, refreshments and facilities including equipment, registers and monitor uptake of room usage as appropriate for medical education activity.
  • Liaison with education leads, speakers and provide agendas, learning outcomes, programme details etc. for education sessions.
  • Informing MCN membership in a timely manner of the training and e.g., start and finish times, venue and information booklets/programmes.
  • Develop publicity materials relating to the education activity the postholder is responsible for.
  • Administration of the evaluation process for educational delivery ensuring accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders.
Administration

  • Maintain high quality, accurate and accessible records of training activity and attendance and achievement in accordance with Information Governance principles.
  • Provide the clinical educational leads /MCN with administrative duties as required, e.g., minute taking, report writing, reception duties and facilities management.
