    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Our UK agency is searching for a new collaborator as a Structural Engineer to support all activities performed by the team involved in SZC.

    The position will be based in Bristol, in a permanent contract.

    • Carrying out and coordinating review and acceptance of deliverables in their scope of activity.
    • Producing building-specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes.
    • Responsible for raising, and following up on building specific technical open points as a first point of contact for the L3 civil designer.
    • Supporting the civil building lead and contract engineering lead in coordination with civil designer and other stakeholders for producing the design.
    • Coordinating and carrying out the resolution of building specific technical topics and tracking the evolution of these activities in their scope of activity.
    • Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to program.
    • Supporting the contract engineering lead for reviewing technical proposals for variations.

    BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Qualifications and experience:

    Bachelor's / Master's degree in civil engineering

    Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.

    Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.

    Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering

    Knowledge of the design and detailing of reinforced concrete

    Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations
