    Quality Engineer

    We are pleased to be representing a well-established SME Automotive supplier located in the Pershore area. The role is a key position for the business to oversee their quality assurance department ensuring standards and procedures are aligned to their ISO 9001 accreditation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the management of all designated quality projects ensuring quality standards are maintained and programme targets met within the overall framework of business objectives -Manage the effectiveness of the company's quality management system and ISO legislation through regular line and system audits, as well as utilising a range of quality tools such as SPC, 8D, PPAP, ECN, INC, SCAR, Lean, Six-Sigma
    • Attend departmental Risk assessment meetings
    • Prepare full PPAP packs and submit with production of current (weekly basis) and new sample parts
    • Handling, programming, and operating instruments such as the CMM's, Height Gauges,
    • Micrometres and Verniers in the inspection of manufactured parts
    • Responsible for Calibration of all instruments and gauges and maintaining records
    • Inspecting of all subcontracted products with respect to sampling plan
    • Facilitate RCA of customer complaints to ensure effective and sustainable corrective action plans and successful resolution
    • Lead and work within improvement teams, ensuring corrective actions are robust and effectively implemented
    • Work directly with our sub-contracting Health and Safety Officer to continue to pursue improvements to our Health and Safety management system, planning and facilitating our continued rolling action plan, ensuring actions are overcome across our facilities.
    • Responsibility for making informed decisions regarding line hold up's due to quality problems
    • Lead and assist in the training of quality and safety awareness, working with Directors, Supply Chain
    • Manager, Production Supervisor and Senior Technical Engineer to raise standard of all aspects of Quality and Safety across the company's footprints through facilitation of meeting and tool-box led approaches.
    • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
    • To contribute to continuous improvement activity within the business
    • Monitor and analyse process capability including data collection and provide robust monthly reporting of QM performance to Directors

    Salary: £37,500 - £40,000 per annum

    Working Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (Mon - Thurs)
