    We are looking to recruit Skilled Production Operative to join our team within production area. The ideal candidate will be reliable, show initiative and have accuracy with excellent attention to detail. As a Skilled Production Operative you will be responsible for completing verification checks and being able to operate and understand all machinery, ensuring high quality product is being continuously produced.

    Shift: Monday-Friday; 06:30-15:00

    Pay Rate: £12.52

    Key Role & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all product specifications and quality standards are followed
  • Understand the operation of all machinery used in a given area and ensure optimum setup to maximise efficiency and achieve target yields
  • Champion our paperless system to help drive our Second Nature initiative
  • Work as part of a team to identify areas of opportunity or support needed and liaise with management where appropriate
  • Remain level-headed, logical and approachable with all colleagues and customers
  • Demonstrate flexibility by achieving a wide variety of production tasks across the site
  • Recognize the importance of verification checks and complete in a timely manner
  • Liaise closely with other departments to problem solve and establish agreed solutions
  • Ensure compliance with key company and customer requirements and assist in audits
  • Work in partnership with the wider team to be part of site culture which drives food safety, H&S, ethical, environmental and energy behaviours
  • Experience / Knowledge:

  • Prior experience within the food industry in a role that is machine orientated or/and multi-skilled is required
  • Reliable and good timekeeper
  • Ability to use IT systems, and be comfortable with running and understanding a paperless factory
  • Conscientious, enthusiastic and willingness towards meeting deadlines
  • Be able to show initiative and good problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety principles
  • Ability to communicate, understand and follow instructions and have good attention to detail
