EHV Fitters - St. Albans, United Kingdom - Morson Talent
Description
Morson Group is urgently seeking experienced EHV Fitters for a 6-month contract working in St Albans.
You will play a vital role in the safe completion of the Inspection, Maintenance and defect Repairs of substations, plant and equipment up to and including 132kV.
Contracted Days: Monday – Friday.
Hourly Rate: £ £30.00 LTD, PAYE & Umbrella payments also available.
Duties:
· Inspection and Maintenance of EHV plant and equipment up to and including 132kV.
· Carry out inspections of Grid and Primary substations.
· Supervise testing of HV, LV and pilot cables as being to specification
· Liaise with control and carry out stand-by duties to maintain network security (where authorised). Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment relevant to this role
· Carry out risk assessments and demonstrate a safety culture.
Qualifications Required:
· ONC in electrical power or City & Guilds Part 232/2339 in electrical/electronic qualification.
· Electrical apprenticeship in a power distribution (or similar) company.
· Be able to demonstrate experience working on regional electricity networks and therefore have a comprehensive knowledge of the electrical distribution network.
· Hold a current UK driving licence.
· A good comprehension of mechanical knowledge.
