    Client Services Business Analyst Apprentice (M&G Investments)
    What you will do in your working day

    The role of the Business Analyst involves identifying and analysing business problems and opportunities, and then designing solutions that can help organizations achieve their goals.

    Business analysts work closely with various departments, including management, IT (Information Technology), finance, and marketing, to understand their needs and gather requirements.

    In Client Services we are looking to work closely with our Sales colleagues to understand how we can enhance client experience by making changes to both process and taking advantage of other technological solutions.

    Ultimately we are looking to make M&G work more efficiently, ensure that we are competing fairly and honestly through adhering to the rules set up by the regulator and most importantly helping us give a better service our customers.

    Some examples of project we are working on include a new automated client report distribution system that will save manual effort, enhance client experience and reduce the risk associated manual effort.

    We are also in the process of rolling out a service catalogue across sales which will help provide clarity on the service we should be offering clients based on jurisdiction, client type and product.

    The successful applicant will be exposed to the different projects and will work closely with other teams within Distribution and the wider business, to provide help further improve client service at M&G.

    Key Responsibilities for this role:
    The role forms part of the Client Enablement team within Global Client Service Delivery.

    The role of the Client Enablement team is to help understand emerging client needs and drive forward improvements in how we service clients across the asset management business.

    The team plays a key role in agreeing client requirements and helping ensure we provide a consistency of service across the business.

    A Business Analyst Apprentice will support a wide range of initiatives across the team and will get involved in gathering data, producing pieces of analysis, inputting into business cases for new developments, support the adoption of new technology and work with the wider business to deliver change.

    Work alongside other team members to understand current business issues, performing data gathering, as required, to provide additional insights and help identify solutions.

    Document and record elements of current process by shadowing existing users, reading of appropriate documentation to effectively understand how the process that is going to be replaced works.

    Help prepare for workshops, engaging the attendees and ensuring the set up (room etc.).
    Attend and capture notes at key meetings.
    Support the write up of requirements (what users require the new system to deliver).
    Support and document solution design, inputting into relevant templates to allow approval by governance forums.

    When required, help develop a test approach and test the new system and ensure that it works according to the specification.

    Support the senior BA as directed to ensure successful delivery of team initiatives.
    The training you will be getting
    As a Client Services Business Analyst Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses

    This is a fixed term contract for 21 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding.

    If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
