Description

We are currently working with a public sector organisation based in
Wolverhampton who are looking to a
Senior HR Advisoron a contract until the end of July.

The role is a full time position (37 hours) paying up to £41,000 per annum and offers 2 days home working.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Leading on all aspects of employee relations casework and sickness absence
  • Supervising the daytoday activities for a team of HR Advisors
  • Reviewing common causes of sickness absence and putting in place plans to reduce cases
  • Advising on complex areas of contractual terms and conditions of employment, employment status, pay and benefits and the interpretation of policy and procedures
  • Liaising with trade unions and building relationships to ensure the resolution of any ER issues
  • Supporting on organisational change activity, including restructures and redundancies
  • Supporting with recruitment activity, including sitting on interview panels as required

Experience required:


  • CIPD qualification at Level 7 or Level
  • Experience of providing advice to managers and working with trade unions
  • Experience of working in the public sector (desirable)

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:


  • Tactful and diplomatic in dealing with sensitive matters with proven influencing skills and the ability to deal effectively with conflict
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and experience of providing advice and guidance to managers as required
