Purpose of Job


To identify, prepare and present used vehicle sale stock to a retail condition, and support the ongoing development of Van Ninjas used vehicle sales offering to new and existing clients.


1. Key Features


1.1 The job holder reports to the Retail Sales Executive and works closely with the Used Vehicles Sales Team to support the retail offering, specifically in the preparation and advertisement of new and used LCV's, to assist the department in achieving itsmonthly targets.

The job holder follows the necessary preparation guidelines ensuring sale stock is in retail condition with the necessary repairs and health-checks complete within an acceptable timeframe.


Major activities include:
1.1.1 Provide support and assistance to the Retail Sales Executives when processing a sale of a vehicle

1.1.2 To understand the Van Ninja sales process and be able to provide essential cover of the retail site in the event of team absence

1.1.3 Identify and expedite the necessary repairs / preparation requirements for all Retail vehicle sales stock
1.1.4 To maintain and update the vehicle tracking system, ensuring all vehicle locations and status's are correctly recorded

1.1.5 Requesting and logging both V5's and Spare keys for sales vehicles on site and in stock

1.1.6 Regular monitoring of vehicle services, Mots and Health checks due, and to maintain an up-to-date record on the vehicle tracking system

1.1.7 Recording and monitoring of vehicles sales stock due in from the rental network and to liaise with the necessary sites to establish delivery dates

1.1.8 Updating of Daily KPI reporting

1.1.9 Assist with vehicle sales invoicing when required

1.1.10 Ensure all monies for sold equipment is collected with cleared funds prior to collection by the customer


2. Direction Received


2.1 The job holder will follow the guidelines provided in the Van Ninja Operations manual, whilst seeking advice from the Senior Retail Sales Executive or Fleet Director where necessary.


2.2 Decisions referred upwards include:

  • Sale prices below minimum rates agreed
  • Releasing of sold equipment prior to receipt of cleared funds

3. Knowledge and Experience
3.1 A good understanding of LCV products and the market is preferable with previous background experience at dealership level

3.2 A keen eye for attention to detail and presentation is desirable
