One of Morgan Law's clients in the Education sector requires a Head of Procurement to lead on all procurement activity across the organisation, drive continuous improvement, establish excellent customer service and develop collaborative working across the sector.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and develop the procurement team ensuring they deliver the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour at all times.
  • Implement appropriate procurement strategies, processes, procedures and policies in line with strategic business needs.
  • Ensure the team delivers continuous improvement across category management, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Manage an efficient procurement service that ensures value for money and standards are successfully achieved.
  • As well as strong leadership qualities also demonstrate strategic and analytical skills that contribute to the senior management team.
  • Establish sustainable and high performing procurement and supply chain strategies that are robust and cost effective.

Person Specification:

  • MCIPS Qualification
  • Track record developing and delivering efficient Procurement Strategy
  • Experience of mentoring and developing procurement staff
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and regulations
