    Claims Handler – Account Lead

    Reports to:
    Insurance Director

    Location:
    Central London – 100% Office Based

    Purpose and objectives
    We are looking for an experienced Account Lead to deal with property insurance claims. You will be joining a strong and established team at a successful and well-established contractor.
    In this office-based role, you will be on the front line in delivering work instructions.

    You will collaborate closely with our contracts managers and surveyors to return homes to their original state after incidences such as fire, flood, subsidence, and accidents.

    Main duties and responsibilities:

    • Act as a point of contact for clients and customers for any queries on their claims.
    • Managing property claims from start to finish.
    • Managing client portals with regular updates.
    • Supporting with invoicing.
    • Dealing with customer complaints.
    • Working to achieve agreed activity levels with the intention of continuously reducing WIP throughout the year.

    Special requirements:

    • Have the ability to utilise qualities such as empathy, tact, assertiveness, and diplomacy when talking to customers.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
    • Exceptional Customer Services skills with experience of working within a Customer Services/Complaints Handling environment.
