Bromley & Croydon Women's Aid is seeking to recruit a
Referral Case Officer to manage incoming referrals to our domestic abuse refuges and provide ad-hoc support to their residents.


We are a well-established and forward thinking independent domestic abuse charity, supporting women and children through a wide range of specialist services.

We are now seeking a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic team.


As a Referral Case Officer, you will manage refuge voids, take referrals and carry out risk and need assessments for prospective clients.

You will ensure the minimisation of void levels, taking all appropriate steps to enable new referrals into the refuge service.


You will work across all BCWA locations in Bromley and Croydon, introducing new clients to refuge, going through Policies, Procedures & House rules etc.

You will cover absences of refuge staff as and when required.


This will be a dynamic and flexible post, so the post holder must be able to act confidently and empathetically and be able to respond effectively to crisis situations.

The post holder should be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team and must be well organised in order to manage a varied workload.


The person we are looking for will have proved experience in risk management and safety planning, as well as understanding and awareness of the issues facing women who have experienced domestic abuse.

Holding a full driving license, having access to a vehicle and be willing to travel locally is essential.

Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days per week)


Contract Type:
Fixed Term until 31st March 2024


Salary:
£23,030 per annum (£28,788 FTE)
