    Main Responsibilities:


    Support the Head of NPD in the development of the NPD pipeline and strategy for the coming years by providing NPD expertise.

    Project manage and work closely with cross functional teams to deliver truly innovative NPD to tight deadlines and in line with the business strategy.

    Draw on existing and build new supplier networks to source innovation in line with technical, nutritional, consumer needs and company margin aspirations.

    Identify and deliver EPD projects to ensure constant improvement of our core product range

    Work closely with the technical team to ensure all new products comply with technical/nutritional/ethical standards, validate key claims and on pack messaging.

    Work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure every product is produced to the highest standards, identifying and rolling out opportunities for improved practice

    Key Skills Required:


    You will ideally be educated to a degree level in food science, food technology or nutrition related discipline and possess previous product development experience & strong project management skills.

    You will have a passion for product innovation, a creative flair, a good understanding of market trends plus possess excellent communication skills.

    4+ years' experience in a similar NPD role ideally within a head office food retail or food service environment, as well as a background in food manufacturing.

    Ability to work closely with supplier partners and co-manufacturers.
    Proven track record of NPD success
    Exceptional organisation and project management skills
    Good understanding of packaging
    Ability to influence and negotiate across all levels internally and externally

    The role will require local and international travel to the supplier base and relevant trade shows but this will all be managed by you, so it can easily be planned ahead of time.
