A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Highly Specialist / Band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Trust-wide Adult Eating Disorders Service (AEDS).
8WTE) and the successful applicant will be joining what are established outpatient and day care multi-disciplinary community services for adults with moderate to severe eating disorders. They will be joining a warm and welcoming team with a passion for the delivery of high-quality care. Prior experience of working with adults with moderate to severe eating disorder presentations is essential.This is with a view to ensuring soon access to assessment and evidence based psychological therapy.
The post holder will receive supervision and support from the pre-assessment waiting list pathway clinical lead (Principal Psychologist) and will work closely with AEDS psychological therapies team.
Over time, with the implementation of the AEDS transformation, the anticipation is that this role will evolve this is with the post holder being asked to contribute to other clinical pathways within AEDS, with associated opportunity to further develop specialisms and expertise within the field.
The successful applicant will be able to drive a car and will have the use of a car during working hours.
This is due to the requirement to sometimes travel between the AEDS bases (in Guildford and Epsom), and occasionally also to other Trust sites.

Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent
Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course to enable supervision of trainees (or completion within 12 months of commencement in post)
Experience of working with people from across the life span with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles.
Demonstrable post registration/clinical experience and competency relevant to this care group.
