HSEQ Advisor

Permanent Full Time

Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days at home)

Salary £37,000 - £40,000 DOE Plus Car Allowance (£4000)

We are working exclusively with a reputable and growing facilities management contractor who are on the lookout for a HSEQ Advisor to join their team.


The role will be based at the office in Birmingham with some flexibility to work from home - 2 days per week as well as being out on sites.

Your role will include site inspections, visits, audits and ISO accreditations.


ROLE:

  • Subject matter expert on health and safety.
  • Provide accurate reports on HSEQ performance.
  • Conduct audits and inspections and provide accurate reports detailing remedial actions.
  • Undertake timely accident investigations and identify and deliver key learning to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with maintaining ISO and other accreditations.
  • Assist with development and regular reviews of HSMS.
  • Develop and where appropriate deliver internal training.
  • Provide practical assistance to site teams with PAT, ladder, harness inspections, Face Fit testing.
  • Contribute to the development and review of health and safety documentation.
  • Provide advice on risk assessments and method statements.
  • Review potential new subcontractors for competence.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant site meetings.
  • Contribute to development of tool box talks, newsletters and other HSEQ related materials.
  • Undertake inductions where required.
  • Liaise with relevant external stakeholders regulators / insurance / suppliers

The Person:

  • You must have current/previous experience within a facilities management/building services business
  • NEBOSH General Certificate essential
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Computer Literate
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • To be able to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Previous Experience in a facilities / construction related role
  • To be able to work as part of a team
  • Flexible working approach

The Package:

  • Base salary £37,000 £40,000 DOE
  • Car Allowance of £4000
