    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing team of Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in our modern, recently refurbished tertiary level 3 neonatal unit.

    The unit is currentlyincreasing to 7 intensive care cots, 10 high dependency cots and 12 SCBU cots alongside transitional care cots.


    We have vacancies for 2 qualified ANNP's to join our team working on the Tier 1 neonatal medical rota who are enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, hardworking and positive thinking to promote the delivery of high-quality, evidenced based safe care to all our babies and families.

    We welcome both newly qualified ANNP's and ANNP's who already have experience wanting to develop their skills and competencies in a level 3 unit environment.

    There is an opportunity to develop towards advancing to the Tier 2 rota in the position of a senior ANNP following completion of additional competencies.


    These vacancies are for qualified ANNP's who have completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (neonatal pathway) or equivalent qualification and will have a non-medical prescribing qualification.

    Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their advanced clinical skills on the tier 1 medical rota and develop their leadership skills whilst working alongside the established ANNPs in the team, medical trainees and neonatologists.

    The post holders will be expected to use both collaborative and independent judgement through providing safe, effective, high standards of care to neonates with a gestational age from twenty-two weeks who are admitted to our unit.


    You will be warmly welcomed, supported and guided by the very experienced team of ANNP's who work on both Tier 1 and Tier 2 rotas, a team ofconsultant neonatologists and the ACP team leader for ANNP's and paediatric ACP's.

    Professional Qualification (Registered with the NMC)
    Non-Medical Prescribing
    Non-medical authorisation of blood products
    Neonatal experience at Senior Staff Nurse level
    Participation in service development and implementation of change

    Involvement with research, audit and quality improvement projects
    Relevant IT skills to utilise clinical applications, as well as ability to use software to aid education, presentation, QI and audit (i.e. word, PowerPoint, excel)
    Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate higher nursing care
    Evidence of a broad range of professional development activities
    Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of diversity and cultural influences
