Alpine F1 Team is seeking an enthusiastic Health & Safety intern to support and work with the health and safety manager.

This will be for a 12 month placement.

Promoting a positive health and safety culture in the workplace will be key.

The Role

You'll be working with Department Heads within all disciplines throughout the business to create and modify risk assessments (RA) with guidance from the Health and Safety Manager (using AssessNet H&S software) including arranging the hand-over of the RA to the department managers following agreement that the RA is a true reflection of processes carried out.

Working with Department Heads within the manufacturing departments will be imperative to catalogue all chemicals to create a COSHH register and then to create COSHH risk assessments (RA) all under the guidance of the Health and Safety Manager.

This will be created using Alcumus COSHH software.

You will be responsible for recording and monitoring accidents, incidents, near misses, hazards and property damage - and supporting through investigation of these to ensure follow up of any corrective action is taken.

Once settled, you'll be trained in site tours and will be conducting these weekly for all new starters, alongside managing ad-hoc daily queries, arranging and booking training sessions and producing support materials for presentations.

The Person

It is not a requirement to be studying a Health & Safety related degree if you are organised and confident with the job remit above.

You must be able to complete the 12-month placement, have a passion for Health & Safety and an enthusiastic and positive approach.

Being able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with a good degree of IT literacy and a high level of attention to detail are essential.

In return for your hard work and dedication we offer a team who is truly ambitious with their goals, with a unique and friendly working environment and competitive remuneration - including pension, free onsite gym, subsidised restaurant and many others.

Alpine Racing strives to be diverse and inclusive, a place where we can all be ourselves. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences.

We are committed to making a consistent, top down effort to be role models on what diversity, inclusion and belonging means in society.
