I am working with a leading property consultancy who is looking for an experienced Head of Business Development to join them on a permanent basis.

In this newly created role, the Head of BD will be a senior influential figurehead responsible for delivering the firms key accounts programme whilst working collaboratively across the firm to help develop and implement client focused business development strategies.

You will work together with senior staff members within the marketing & BD team as well as sector heads, department heads and partners across the firm.

Reporting into the Marketing Director and with the mandate to recruit a BD team.

Skills & expertise required:

  • Senior marketing professional with strong BD and marketing background.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to recruit, motivate, retain, and develop an effective team with a culture of accountability.
  • Understands the dynamics of a partnership. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with proven ability to build collaborative relationships with others in a dynamic environment, including the ability to 'bring others on the journey'.
  • Is the 'voice of the client' and puts the client at the forefront.
  • Can juggle longterm thinking with shortterm ROI.
  • Can create and lead a highperforming, resultsdriven team.
  • Drives everyday innovation, shares new ideas and concepts and supports new ways of working.
  • Is resilient and has the ability to lead through change.
  • Demonstrates agility in delivering complex client focused plans across a matrix sector and department structure. Is commercially astute and delivers BD activities with impact and purpose.
  • Is curious and not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo.
  • A selfstarter, with the enthusiasm to be as proactive as possible at all times.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.


  • Excellent IT skills

  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word as standard.
