Injection Moulding Setter
Jobs Butler are now working with a well-established plastic injection moulding company.


Situated in the Hull area our client has gained a fantastic reputation both internationally and nationwide for having the capability to produce a wide variety of complex components in an extensive range of materials.


Looking to add to their experienced team we are seeking on their behalf an Injection Moulding Setter, you must have experience with setting, conditioning, maintenance & process optimisation of injection moulding machines working with a wide range of materials and be able to assist with ensuring that production runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.


Essential Criteria:


  • To have a minimum of 3 years' experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment as well as setting experience.
  • To be able to start up and shut down Injection moulding machines.
  • To change tools and keep machines running at their optimum.
  • Experience of Negri Bossi moulding machines will be an advantage
  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge to ensure tasks are carried out safely and efficiently and undertake machine safely checks.
  • To be able to calibrate master batch units in accordance with setting sheets.
  • To monitor machine performance against calculated timing and quality standards and to act promptly to production problems to ensure mínimal reject level.
  • Have good communication skills at all levels to be able to liaise with operators, supervisor and Production Manager with regards to production requirements.
  • Have reasonable level of computer literacy to key scrap quantities, downtime reasons and other information into our system.
  • Able to demonstrate an organised approach and ability to cope well under pressure
  • Have good numeracy skills and an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, with a good standard of written and spoken English
  • Hot runner systems, core pulling, material handling systems, robotics and all Polymers

Rotating Shift Pattern:


  • Occasionally weekend work may be required
  • Willing to undertake formal training in all areas as required.

Hours of work:

40 hours per week Monday to Friday, must be prepared to work any shift as required.

Salary - £30,000 - £35000 per annum dependant on experience.
