    Job Title:

    Senior Network EngineerLocation: Cardiff (Hybrid) with regular travelSalary: Up to £60,000 + car allowanceContract type: Permanent#LI-HybridAbout the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join our successful team.

    Our team of Network engineers form a key part of our Technical team carrying out cutting edge networking implementations for our large and growing customer base.

    Please note this is a client facing role covering UK Clients, which will require you to travel and deploy our latest network projects.

    Although this role can be based anywhere in the UK, you must be able to visit the Cardiff office to spend time with the team.

    A full UK Driving license is essential and an enhanced DBS check is required.

    RequirementsWhat you'll doDealing with technical escalations from the Network and assigned project resources within the team, providing advice and guidance.

    Technically leading Network and other assigned projects from start to completion.
    Mentoring team members and providing knowledge transfer and thorough documentation.
    Working closely with the project managers until project completion.
    Successful technical delivery of any projects that you are assigned to.
    Work closely with our sales executives and pre-sales team on technical design validation.
    Ensuring the accuracy of the designs and solutions that you have input into.
    Nationwide travel to customer sites at times, working outside of the office for extended periods of time.

    You will also be required to carry out work out of normal working hours as agreed with your line manager and in line with the company's overtime policy.

    Provide ad hoc support to our Network Operating Centre (NOC), assisting customers with questions and queries about their supported networks on an escalation basis.


    What we are looking for?Essential:
    Experience of working in an IT networking project/support role within a professional or corporate environment.

    Experience of deploying large network projects, including enterprise campus networks and data centre projectsStrong experience with stakeholder engagementExperience of delivering customer workshops and training sessionsFull UK driving license and access to own car to be insured for business use.

    Project implementations/project lifecycle experience is essential.
    MSP / Reseller experience as project engineer/consultant is essential.
    Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
    Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

    Experience with at least one of the following vendors:
    o HPE Aruba – Wired/Wireless/SD-WANo Dell - Wiredo Cisco – Wired/Wirelesso Extreme – Wired/Wireless/SD-WANExperience utilising fibre cabling inc. OM1/OM2/OM3/OM4/OM5/OS1/OS2 and relevant optics.
    Experience and understanding of Dual Stack (IPv4/IPv6) environments.
    CCNP/ACSP/ACMP/ACP qualifications or equivalent demonstrable experience.
    Switching & RoutingExperience of IP subnetting/supernetting and designing schematics for customer environments.
    Core/Edge network replacement experience.
    Experience of RF design utilising toolsets such as Ekahau/Airmagnet/Airwave VisualRF/Aruba Central.
    Routing experience – iBGP/eBGP/BGP-EVPN/VXLAN/OSPFv2/OSPFv3/Underlay/Overlay for Datacentre and Campus Networking.
    WLAN Infrastructure deployment experience of controller/controllerless based networks and cloud managed networking.
    Understanding and experience of using DHCP/DNS infrastructure.
    You will be a client-friendly, confident, eager, and enthusiastic individual, who is keen to develop their career long term.
    Excellent troubleshooting skills.
    Able to self-manage time.

    Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholdersDesirable:
    An understanding and appreciation of Windows Server, Virtualisation and Storage technologies.
