The Role
At Hain Celestial we are currently recruiting for Senior Safety officer based at our traditional desserts factory in Clitheroe.

The role of the Senior Safety officer is to provide Health and Safety advice and guidance to Factory Site Leadership Team and workers alike.

travel will be required nationwide.

in your role you will implement and manage the Company's H&S Policy and Procedures thereby ensuring the health safety and welfare of the workforce; meeting business statutory obligations with all current H&S Legislation

Key Responsibilities

Be a team player and be an active participant of the Site Leadership Team, helping the Site Leadership Team to plan and deliver the companies Safety Management system
To assist the Senior Group Health and Safety functionaries in the production of policy and process to ensure ongoing Health and Safety legal compliance and corporate compliance
To assist the company in compliance with legislation, relevant regulations, and company Health and Safety standards. Ensuring that all suitable and sufficient actions are taken to ensure the safety of the company's employees and those affected by its work
The recording and reporting of all Accidents, Minor, LTA and RIDDOR
Keep site statistics on accidents, hazards, near miss and Safety Culture
Manage the delivery internal safety training, (SOP, Risk Assessment, COSHH, MH, etc.)

What you will need for the role / what it will take

NEBOSH General
Must be working to NEBOSH level 6 Diploma
2 years specifically managing safety in an industrial environment (ideally with food industry experience).
Must be able to communicate at all levels in a diplomatic and effective way
