Description

About the role:
You will be expected to deliver high quality research in physical chemistry. Your area of research must align strongly with our existing activities in materials, sustainability and/or clean energy.

In that context, it should be noted that we host the Centre for Sustainable Materials Processing and have an excellent track record in investigating energy materials, including the recycling of EV batteries and recovery of high-value metals.

Your research field must have the prospect of attracting sufficient funding to be self-sustaining and you will be expected to actively seek such funding.

You will also be expected to undertake teaching across a range of chemistry courses as well as performing administrative duties.

A particular expectation is that you will contribute to the delivery of teaching in China under the auspices of the Dalian Leicester Institute.

You will join other colleagues as part of our 'flying faculty' team who will travel to China and deliver intensive teaching in short blocks of time.
