Description

Our fantastic West Dumbarton multidisciplinary team have an opportunity for a band 6 nurse to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The team cover Monday – Friday 9-5 and are based from the Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital, however flexible and agile working arrangements are available should travel be a concern.
We have a robust induction package available, so prior experience of working in CAMHS is not essential. Applicants should be able to demonstrate transferable skills for working with children, young people and their families and carers. All new starts will be supported to complete Essential CAMHS training.
We have excellent career opportunities within CAMHS for nurses, as well as tailored in-house academic teaching timetable and support via NES for 1st year development of new to CAMHS nurses before considering longer therapy courses.

Applicants should be 1st level Registered Mental Nurse(RMN) or (LD) Registered Nurse with live NMC registration, have evidence of team working skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, an ability to work using own initiative and without direct supervision in the context of agreed tasks. Demonstrates a positive attitude towards children and young people and knowledge of factors which impact on mental health and emotional well-being. An ability to fulfill main duties and responsibilities as outlined in job description. The applicant should ideally also be a car owner and hold a full Driving License
As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's pre-employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date.
