Portbury

???????40 hour week

???????Salary up to £33,620 DOE


  • Shift time:
  • **Sun - Thurs 19:00- 03:30 with working a Friday every 10 weeks and having a rest day in the week.

The individual would need to have good decision making skills, work well under pressure, be flexible and assist with the covering of shifts when required, have the ability to work well as a team and on their own, have good communication skills, be computerliterate, always be looking at ways to improve things, be driven and have a keen desire to progress.


The working environment is a mixture of office based tasks and presence on the shop floor pushing the staff on to achieve the teams daily targets.

We do operate in 3 different temp environments ( ambient +16, chilled +3 and freezer -21).


The role includes:


  • Health & Safety legal obligations adherence to Company policies and procedures and ensure Group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to
  • Daytoday team management to ensure operational objectives are met in line with key KPI's such as productivity, picking accuracy and inventory control
  • Input to warehouse cost budgeting process
  • Use continuous improvement methodologies to evolve the process and procedures
  • Colleague recruitment and retention recruit, coach and develop colleagues & team leaders (FTE & Agency)
  • Manage employee relations cases in line with Company policies and procedures such as investigations, disciplinaries and absence management
  • Contribution to overall high levels of customer service
  • Drive good stock management practices
  • Form strong and effective working relationships with peers, colleagues, suppliers, and customers at all levels

You'll have:


  • Experience of managing teams of 50+ within a fastmoving warehouse operation
  • A Health & Safety focus to promote an efficient, clean, and safe working environment and culture
  • Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills
  • Good judgment in decisionmaking ability to take responsibility for decisions and articulate reasons for decisions made in a transparent way whilst dealing with challenge effectivelyWe are looking for somebody who can act as a role model for the Companyvalues, with a desire
