Election Support Staff (Casual / Sessional work):
Be part of democracy in your local area.

Electoral Services are looking for reliable, capable, organised and enthusiastic people to join our Register of temporary Election staff.


There are a wide range of roles and responsibilities across an Election, please see some of the role descriptions attached.


For all roles, applicants require:

  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Punctual and reliable
- capable of working to detailed instructions without supervision

  • Ability to remain politically neutral
Experience of other face-to-face working with residents / customers would be an advantage.

Training will be given before the start of work which you must attend.


Electoral staff are not employed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, they are engaged by the Returning Officer.

This work is as and when required by the Electoral Service, during election periods.


Payment is dependent on the role that you are engaged to carry out and will be confirmed at time of an offer.
