    An opportunity has come up for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and happy team due to expansion. You would be working alongside 4 other vets including a Certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery, 5 RVNs, a strong reception team, and a practice manager who will make sure you get always get lunch We pride ourselves on our happy, engaged, social team and regularly score 100% on our colleague 'We Care' surveys. We work with our team to make their working hours fit in with their life commitments and as part of our commitment to offering flexibility at work we have recently achieved accreditation as a gold standard flexible working practice with 'Flexee'. In addition, we also have a zero tolerance policy in place for abusive clients, as our team deserve to feel secure and supported in the work place. We are a Tier 2 RCVS registered practice. In practice we run a standard 20 minute consult with half an hour allocated for euthanasia's, blood tests, skin cases, etc. We are a small practice which allows great case continuity and the vets have a collaborative approach to difficult cases. Most of our cases, however complex, can be managed in house by our surgery certificate holder or visiting ultrasonographer and cardiologist. Dedicated phone/admin time are put in the diary daily. Certificates are encouraged and funded. We're looking for a part time Veterinary Surgeon, working 20-40 hours a week, with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no OOH or Bank Holidays. We have recently reduced our Saturday opening times to 9am-1pm which is another initiative to help our staff achieve the best work-life balance. Hours and days could be flexible and we always give set days off. We are also open to a CONSULT ONLY vet joining the team. Salary DOE and pro rata up to £60k. You'll need to feel comfortable doing sole charge occasionally and will ideally have a medical bias.
