DAILY HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN CENTRAL LONDON

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper for an ultra-high net worth family based in their home in Belgravia, London.

This is an international family of 5 (3 school-aged children), who are in the UK for approximately 3-4 months per year, and spend the rest of their time at their other global residences.


This is a sole-housekeeping position - reporting into the House Manager, you will work independently to ensure the highest level of cleanliness across the property - it is a 4-bedroom townhouse, with two reception rooms and a small basement swimming pool.

Responsible for all hands-on cleaning, laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, you will also assist with personal shopping, flower arranging, running errands, liaising with contractors and assisting the chef with meal preparation (no cooking required).


When the family are in residence, they bring nannies with them so no sole childcare is required for this role, but you do need to be child-friendly.


Usual working hours when the family are in residence is 6 days per week from 8:30am-5:30pm (some flexibility will be required), however, when the family are not in residence a lot more flexibility is offered and time back in lieu given.


DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
  • All laundry and wardrobe management, including linens, caring for fine fabrics, ironing
  • Packing and unpacking for the principals and their guests
  • Assisting the chef with meal preparation and helping with informal service
  • Polishing silver and glassware
  • Greeting guests and offering refreshments
  • Flower arranging
  • Personal shopping and running errands
  • Managing stocks of household items
  • Liaising with contractors and arranging maintenance when required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:


  • Prior Housekeeper experience in a private household (minimum 3 years)
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written
  • Hardworking and dedicated
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexibility with hours and duties
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Excellent checkable references

Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
